Experienced. Visionary. Collaborative.
"Contemporary companies face a radically changed environment. Technology has had a profound impact on business and the economy. In the past 30 years, for example, the internet has facilitated global connection between nearly everybody — and nearly everything. Nearly, because there is still room for fuller and richer connections to everybody and everything."
It's time to build 21st century companies: Learning to thrive in a radically different world
McKinsey & Co.
Dear prospective faculty or member:
Welcome to the KATALYST website. I'm glad you took a moment to learn more about our company, our model and our faculty.
KATALYST traces its foundation back to a discussion I had with the CFO at a global consumer brand. He asked me to help him understand the latest thinking around cyber-economics. The gold standard for that topic was the work of two economists at my own university, and yet none of the business leaders I knew had ever heard of their work. The more I examined this failing, the more I understood the many structural, economic and cultural barriers that keep great thought ideas and great companies apart.
I call this the “academic last mile” problem, and I started KATALYST to make collaboration between thought leaders and business easier and more effective. We do this through our unique virtual working group model, which makes global insight discovery and application accessible, affordable and effective.
The focus of all our groups is not on theoretical discussions but on research and ideas that solve real-world problems to achieve measurable success. The vision of our world-class group leaders is to connect theory and practice for impact. The mission of our highly experienced team is to make the faculty and member experience the best in the world.
If you are a business leader, we can connect your organization to some of best thinkers and ideas anywhere in the world. If you are a university researcher or business thought leader, we can connect your work to companies that need and value your discoveries and insights.
Thanks for your interest in us. We look forward to learning and working with you.
